Postmodern Dutch Ceramic Prototype Table Lamp / Light Sculpture, Circa 1970s/80s

For sale a fabulous Dutch Postmodern handmade prototype ceramic Table Lamp or Light Sculpture, dating from circa 1970s/80s.

The lamp, which is numbered on both inside halves but is unsigned, consists of two ’tiles’ with a black external iridescent glazed and yellow internal glaze, embossed with the form of a light bulb, which when assembled, house the lamp holder and bulb. The two halves are held together by 4 butterfly wing screws.

This fantastic sculptural lamp, which emanates a lovely ambient yellow glow, is in good vintage condition despite some minor chips to the inside edges, but nothing to overly detract (please see photos).
