For sale a pair of Mid-Century Modernist Peter Nelson adjustable wall mounted spot lights / lamps, designed in 1967 and manufactured by Architectural Lighting Ltd.
The lights, which are composed of hand spun polished aluminium and chrome plated tubular steel base and stem, are in superb vintage condition with only minor marks and scratches and the shades are perfectly round and have no dents. Both lights also retain their original manufacturers labels on the inside of the shades.
Peter Nelson was the founder and designer at Architectural Lighting Ltd. He learnt his trade in the aerospace industry before starting to make lighting in 1961. This range, which also included desk lamps and floor standing lamps has become a British design classic.
