Mid-Century Italian Brass & Glass Pendant Light, 1950s

For sale a supremely elegant and rare Italian Mid-Century Modernist opaline glass, teak & brass ceiling pendant light, dating from the 1950s and reminiscent of Stilnovo and Arredoluce lights of the same period.

The light has its original wiring, works and is in very good vintage condition. The brass has patina commensurate with age; the glass shade is in very good condition with no cracks or damage and the veneered teak bent ply details have a lovely colour & grain. Of note, the brass ceiling rose has got multiple splits on one side in particular (see photos) but these don’t affect its usability.
