For sale a stunning and very rare “High Boy” Uniflex teak chest of drawers, by the Danish Designer Gunther Hoffstead.
This range by Hoffstead, featuring the distinctive sledge legs and tapering form (wider at the top, when viewed from the side) included bedside tables, occasional tables, sideboards and Dining tables & chairs, some of which was also available in Rosewood.
Uniflex were at the forefront of British design in the 1960s, and it’s furniture has become highly sought after due mainly to the design, materials and quality of build, but also in part due to the fact that they weren’t mass produced like other popular british furniture of the time, like G-Plan.
