Danish Rosewood Coffee Table by Johannes Andersen for Silkeborg Møbelfabrik, 1960s

For sale a stunning Solid Rosewood Coffee Table designed by Johannes Andersen and produced by Silkeborg Møbelfabrik of Denmark, in the 1960s.

This very rare and extremely desirable table has a distinctively fluid, sculptural design and spectacular grain; a perfect example of the form & craftsmanship of Danish furniture of that period. The table is solid & firm and in superb vintage condition, with some minor age-related wear, namely a mark on the top surface (see photos) and a few superficial scratches. The table has it’s Silkeborg maker’s badge present on the underside.
