For sale this wonderful Danish mid-century Modernist Trombone standard floor lamp designed by Johannes Hammerborg for Fog & Mørup in the 1960s. The lamp derives it’s name from the adjustable horizontal handle that runs along the two parallel upright stems, giving the light the appearance of a trombone.
This iconic piece of Danish Mid Century design is a lesson in simplicity, elegance & function. Delivering a beautifully ambient glow whilst allowing for a focussed, directional, light by adjusting the pivoting shade. In good working order and in very good vintage condition, the shade and base, however, have been professionally sprayed black at some point in the lamp’s history.
