For sale a stunning, rare and very stylish Danish Rosewood & tan leather armchair designed by Kurt Østervig for Ryesberg Møbler of Denmark, circa 1967.
The Rosewood frame is firm and in superb condition with beautiful grain and depth. The inside of one of the back legs has an old repair to a shallow split (see photo) but this doesn’t affect the integrity or sturdiness of the chair in any way and is also not visible. The leather upholstery, which is original, is beautifully aged and has a lovely patina, commensurate with age and history. The top corners and back edge of the back cushion have some extra wear (again, see photos). Both cushions are down filled and the seat is sprung.
